October 2 through 6, 2013

Since most of my friends and family are on Facebook, I toyed with the idea of not doing a blog.  However, there are still a few OFs who don't go on Facebook!  You know who you are. ;0)

On Wednesday, my trip was uneventful and I arrived on time.  Of course, Vicki picked me up and we went to The Crow's Nest for a quick bite.

On Thursday, Vicki had to work for a few hours so I continued my crocheting project that I started in June.

On Friday morning, we headed northeast to Seekonk, Massachusetts to visit The Little People.  When we arrived, Laura, age 7, was still in school, but Josh, age 5, was there to greet us.  Vicki and Carol went to get Laura while I stayed at home with Josh.  Laura had soccer practice at 5:30 and after that, Carol made a wonderful seafood dinner - Littleneck Clams and baked Haddock.  Laura is an excellent eater but this was Josh's first Littleneck.

Anyone who knows Josh, knows this is a setup!  But he really did eat one!

Saturday morning, Laura had a soccer game and we were all there to cheer her on!  Unfortunately, the Cheetahs lost by just one goal.
Home for a quick lunch before heading out to Frerich's Farm which was having a Harvest / Halloween / Pumpkin festival.

Laura and Josh rode the witch's broom . . .

and so did Grandma Vicki and I, even though it doesn't look like it.  Since there was only one witch's hat, we shared it - as sisters do.

Laura and Josh plowed through the hay to find the needle [which was felt] in the haystack.  They actually found all four needles and got prizes for doing so.

We all rode the pumpkin shaped hayride and wandered around the exhibits.  Laura and Josh got shimmering tattoos - Laura's was hearts and Josh had a dragon.

Then, home for a little rest and a movie before heading to Azteca for dinner.  Josh stole my margarita [set up] . . .

and then Laura stole it, much to the dismay of Josh.
Back home for some Heads Up fun.  Matt was at The Fishing Club this weekend so wasn't taking part in these festivities but we'll have him in Vermont at the end of the month.

Sunday morning, Vicki and I left and stopped in Wickford, RI [as we pretty much always do] for breakfast and a little shopping at Green Ink, probably my favorite store of all time.  Yes, credit cards were exchange for items.

We walked along the harbor since it had stopped raining while we were in Wickford and then we headed home - in the rain most of the way.

Wickford is a really charming little town but the day wasn't all that charming.

So, that's it for now.  We're planning a somewhat low key week - maybe catch a movie or two - and Vicki works for a few hours on a few days, so no updates until next Monday.

We have good plans for next Sunday so tune in again.
